Proverbs 12:19

Did you even remember

How we used to hold hands last year,
and stared into each others eyes
the world meant nothing to us, and
all i could see was just you and me.
my trust grew so strong for you
but you turned out to be different along the way.
as circumstances came to pass,
i felt betrayed as i lost myself
being thrown into a world of demise,
i turned, i squirmed, i yelled and screamed
to find myself losing my very life, to say the least.
You lied.
we broke up, but no it didnt end there,
my trust for you was still right there.
nine months has passed, and all i can say is,
I don't know you anymore.

Lord, preserve me.
